All of you will soon find out that I LOVE Erykah Badu, & when I say LOVE I mean I have an iPod dedicated for her music lol. So, you will be seeing me talk about her songs a lot here on the music page. This particular song is from her album New Amerykah Part One (4th World War). Though I find myself singing & quoting her music all the time this song may be more for just sitting down & thinking about vs. jammin' to [although at 3:43 the song changes to a more sing-able tune]. One of the lines is "What if there were no more niggas, only master teachers?" ... well? Makes you think. I love Erykah because she's inspirational, spiritual, & just beautiful. Those of you who feel she's lost her touch are nuts lol but, we'll just have to agree to disagree. Take a listen ;]
*btw, that's clearly not her singing in the beginning of the song lol.

Alicia Keys - Doesn't mean anything

I personally LOVE this song. I love Alicia Keys. Her voice is so amazing.. I think that song is great because it's sort of like a sad breakup type of song? but the beat seems sort of upbeat in a way. It's a cute song and It's catchy when I first heard it right away it caught my attention.

I LOVE Maxwell. A lot of people think Maxwell is a new and upcoming singer, That's NOT true. It's mostly people who must of lived under a rock during the 90's OR were too little to remember. Anyways, I LOVE this song It has such a nice vibe to it. This preview cuts off after about 2 minutes but I'm sure you guys can find it on youtube! :) After this Friday, Jaja & I will be doing Music Friday. We'll post a song whether it's new, or old and write a small summary about it every Friday. So look out for that every Friday!

Lol, jk. But, seriously. Maxwell was & still is that dude. I was telling a friend the other night that Maxwell's music just makes me feel good. He's still the same artist, he's just grown in his craft & he's still doin' it strong. Kudos.
